OISC Course Content
Our OISC Level 1 Course helps delegates to pass the OISC Level 1 exam and become immigration advisers. It covers the following topics:
- A look at the Office of the Immigration Services Commissioner (OISC), what it does and how it operates.
- An analysis of the structures, terminology and framework of UK immigration and nationality law.
- An in-depth look at immigration rules that fall within the following categories:
- Business and investment immigration law
- Family immigration law
- Student immigration law
- Settlement
- British citizenship, naturalisation and registration
- Other Visa categories
There is also an opportunity for all delegates to practise past OISC Level 1 exam questions, which helps to hone exam technique and knowledge, so that delegates feel more confident when taking the exam.

All delegates receive an up-to-date handbook, emailed before the course begins and which presents structured learning content to help delegates learn the OISC syllabus content and develop their understanding of immigration law. Our OISC handbook is updated before each course, to ensure delegates receive the most up-to-date learning.

Who teaches the OISC Level 1 course?
Our course is taught by Oliver, an OISC-accredited Level 3 adviser with nearly 20 years’ experience in immigration law and asylum law. His extensive background practising at OISC- and solicitors’ firms, combined with excellent customer reviews, give him the expertise to teach on how to become an immigration adviser and pass the OISC exam.
Where does the OISC Course take place?
The Level 1 course is Live Online on Microsoft Teams, a platform similar to Zoom, and lasts for a full day, beginning at 9.30am and ending at 5.30pm. In order to facilitate a classroom-like experience, we ask delegates to appear on camera for the duration of the course.
How much does the OISC Level 1 Course cost?
The OISC course costs just £200.00 and there is no additional VAT.
