Asylum Supervisor

Role: Immigration/Asylum Supervisor

Hrs of Work: 37 hours per week

Holidays: 33 days plus statutory holidays

Salary: £26,822 - £30,480  plus employer’s pension contribution of 8% and health benefits

Location: Dewsbury, but the postholder will also be required to work at other locations as necessary

Kirklees Citizens Advice & Law Centre has a vacancy for an Immigration/Asylum Supervisor to run our Legal Aid contract. The successful candidate will have experience in delivering a casework service in asylum law and will have knowledge or experience of working under an LAA contract.

It is a requirement of the role that the postholder must meet the LAA requirements for an Asylum Supervisor (have LAA accreditation to at least LAA level 2 and have passed the Supervisor assessment) or be able to show how these can be met in the very near future – this must be addressed on the form for the application to be considered.

Any candidate appointed will need to have a DBS check as part of their induction as this is an LAA requirement for the role. Our DBS Policy and Policy on the Recruitment of ex-Offenders is available for information as part of the recruitment pack.
