Originally, The Expert is from Iraq, and has a PhD in democracy and political and Islamic thought. The Expert is interested in writing about the roots of extremism. They have published papers in this area. The Expert has participated in more than fifty conferences and workshops, They worked in Iraqi universities as a lecturer, and worked as the dean of an education college. The Expert worked as manager of a big project which covered all Iraqi universities with Relief International and Columbia University in 2007–2010. They worked as a mentor to support PhD students in the School of History at Bangor University, and all students passed VIVA successfully. The Expert has a big project in Kuwait to build an academic university with New York University, and held two workshops in 2017 and 2019 and are still working on the project. Besides their academic background, they have a certificate as a trainer in peacebuilding and conflict resolution.

Experience

The Expert submitted two reports for people who applied for asylum in the UK, and they were from Iraq.

The Expert worked as an expert in different places, as an adviser with RTI, the American International Organization.

The Expert worked as a trainer and academic programme designer for New York University.
