Date of Publication:

We sadly heard the news today that the former  long-time EIN employee John Dean passed away last week after a long battle with cancer.

John spent many years at EIN, from near its inception up until 2009. He became the editor of EIN and played a key role in the website's development. Many innovations, such as 'EIN index terms', are largely thanks to John. He also played a crucial role in bringing the HJT country reports and bundle feature onto EIN.

John was passionate about EIN and very much enjoyed championing the website and teaching the benefits it brought. Many will remember him from his regular training sessions, such as those in Camden. He also greatly enjoyed conversing about immigration law and sharing his knowledge.

John showed tremendous commitment to EIN over many years and we are grateful for all his efforts and achievements.

Like me, I am sure many will remember John Dean with fondness.

Our thoughts are with his family.
