I have extensive expertise in the legal system of Bangladesh, encompassing various areas such as constitutional law, criminal law, civil law, family law, and human rights law. I am an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh. I was called to the Bar of England and Wales in October 2022. My experience includes in-depth knowledge of the procedural and substantive aspects of the Bangladeshi legal framework. I have worked on numerous cases involving immigration, asylum, and refugee law, providing expert opinions and analysis for legal proceedings and academic purposes.
My familiarity with the local judiciary, legal practices, and legislative developments in Bangladesh enables me to offer comprehensive insights and reliable advice on matters pertaining to the country's legal system. I have Completed ‘Training of Trainers (ToT) on Arbitration’ conducted by International Law Institute (ILI), Washington DC, USA in collaboration with Bangladesh International Arbitration Centre (BIAC) from December 7-11, 2014. I have also participated in the comprehensive election observation findings, reported to the media by the EWG (Election Working Group) in its Secretariat.
I have over 14 years of experience in the legal field with a particular focus on the legal system of Bangladesh. Throughout my career, I have produced several expert reports on a variety of legal issues, including but not limited to immigration, asylum, human rights, and criminal law. My reports have been used in numerous legal proceedings both within Bangladesh and internationally. I have provided expert testimony in court and have been consulted by law firms, NGOs, and governmental bodies for my specialized knowledge. I working for European Partnership for Democracy as a consultant from January-February 2025. worked as a national consultant in the European Election Expert Mission (EU EEM) on 11th and 12th Parliamentary Elections of Bangladesh. In addition, I also worked as an independent consultant on a project for prison reform in Bangladesh conducted by GIZ in collaboration with Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Law, Bangladesh. Therefore, I have an in depth knowledge regarding prison system in Bangladesh.
