Image credit: UK GovernmentThe Legal Aid Agency has announced today that it is seeking to contract for new legal aid immigration and asylum cases in London and/or Mid, South West and Coastal Kent.

The Legal Aid Agency says this is due to demand from asylum seekers being transferred from other areas of the UK to London by National Asylum Seeker Support (NASS) and due to unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Children (UASC) following the closure of the camp at Calais.

Expressions of interest are invited from 2013 Standard Civil Contract holders currently providing immigration and asylum services.
