EEA Nationals and their Family Members currently living in the UK or intending to travel to the UK in the near future face legitimate concerns as to their future rights following Brexit. They are looking for assurances as to their current rights and what the future may hold.

In this course we will look at the nuts and bolts and practical steps involved in advising clients and will go on to assist them with applications for Entry Clearance, EEA (Qualified Persons); EEA (Family Members); EEA (Permanent Residence) and Naturalisation.

The trainer, Brendan Beder has specialised in UK Immigration Law since setting up Beder-Harrison & Co in 1992. He has extensive practical experience in advising and assisting clients with EEA related applications.

The course will include an examination of the following areas in a practical and user friendly way:-

  • Initial Rights of Residence
  • The different ways of Exercising EEA Treaty Rights
  • The Surinder Singh case and its application
  • Retained Rights
  • Permanent Residence and modes of proof of the exercising of Treaty Rights
  • Naturalisation
  • Passport Applications for children born in the UK to EEA nationals
  • What the future may hold

Objectives: at the end of the course participants will have a clear understanding as to the issues involved with EEA related applications and an insight into the practical processes involved in assisting clients at every stage of their stay in the UK as EEA Nationals and EEA Family Members. This will enable participants to advise and assist clients with confidence.
